Core Mechanics

In Nethereum, players step into the role of interstellar resource operators, piloting mining ships retrofitted to tap into the remnants of the lost blockchain age. These vessels extract Nethereum, the universe's most valuable digital resource, through a dynamic system of Flux Nodes and innovative NFT-based crews. At the core of it all is Fluxrate—a metric representing a ship's total mining output capacity per block.

Every block, Nethereum is distributed to players proportionally, based on their share of total network Fluxrate. The more optimized your ship the greater your yield.

Fluxrate Distribution Formula

ai = Fluxrate of player i AF = Total network Fluxrate (AF = Σ ai) Re = Nethereum emission per block

Then the reward for player i is: Ri = (ai / AF) × Re

Syncrate Multiplier System

Beyond base Fluxrate, players earn Syncrate bonuses that act as percentage multipliers on their mining rewards. This is where NFT ownership becomes transformational: each point of Syncrate provides a 1% bonus to final rewards, but premium NFT collections can deliver hundreds of Syncrate points, creating extraordinary wealth generation potential through crew optimization and ship advancement.

Flux Nodes (Ship Upgrades)

Flux Nodes are modular components installed on ships to extract Nethereum. Each one contributes to the ship's total Fluxrate and has three defining attributes:

Fluxrate Output – The mining power provided by this unit • Arc Consumption – The amount of ship energy required to operate the node • Installation Cost – Paid in $NETH to install or upgrade

Players can install Flux Nodes, provided their ship has sufficient energy capacity and available slots. Managing energy and layout efficiently is key to maximizing returns. Keep in mind that in space there are no refunds—once you scrap a Flux Node, it's gone.

Ships (Mining Platforms)

Ships act as mobile mining facilities and determine the foundational limits of a player's mining operation. Each ship has:

Flux Node Capacity – The number of installable Flux Nodes • Arc Output – Total power available for node operation • Crew Capacity – Number of crew members it can support (including 1 Captain), accommodating both NFT operatives and token-based roles • Ship Upgrade – Paid in $NETH, with 24-hour cooldown timers

Ships must satisfy this constraint at all times:

Total Arc Consumption of active Flux Nodes ≤ Ship'sArc Output

Upgrading your ship increases your mining potential, unlocking higher-tier builds and more advanced strategies.

Hangars (Relic Storage)

Every commander maintains a Hangar—a storage facility for ancient Relics discovered throughout the cosmos. These mysterious artifacts provide passive Fluxrate bonuses and can be obtained through:

Direct Purchase with $NETH Token-Gated Claims for holders of specific NFT collections or ERC-20 tokens Faction Rewards and special events

Crew System

Each ship supports an onboard crew, made up of operatives from carefully curated partner collections. This isn't just cosmetic—NFT crews are the primary driver of mining performance, providing game-changing advantages: • Premium NFT Crew Members: Elite collectibles from verified partner collections that provide massive Syncrate bonuses scaling up to 600% on advanced ships • Token Crew Members: Basic roles unlocked by holding specific ERC-20 tokens, offering modest bonuses for entry-level operations • The Captain (positioned at the special spot) grants double the effect of their base stats, regardless of crew type • Partner Collection Priority: Only select, high-value NFT collections receive partnership status with maximum bonus potential • Signature Verification: Optional cryptographic proof system to validate cross-chain NFT ownership

The difference is dramatic: while token-based crew provides minimal benefits, premium NFT collections can transform a basic mining operation into a high-yield extraction empire. The rarest and most prestigious collections unlock the highest multipliers, making NFT selection the most critical strategic decision in Nethereum.

Faction Warfare System

The resistance is divided into competing Factions, each vying for control over Nethereum extraction zones. Players can:

Join Factions to access collective bonuses and exclusive content • Contribute Fluxrate to faction strength, unlocking tier-based rewards • Participate in Faction Wars during special events for territorial control • Switch Factions with a 30-day cooldown to prevent tactical abuse • Faction Member Limits: Each faction caps at x members depending on community size, creating competitive entry

Faction membership adds a social and competitive layer, where individual mining contributions benefit the collective war effort.

Arcade Game Challenges

Beyond upgrades and crew strategy, players can earn temporary boosts through the GlitchBox a rogue arcade terminal system embedded in the blockchain. These skill-based challenges offer:

48-Hour Cooldown: Games can only be played every 48 hours, preventing spam • Temporary Boosts: Successful completion grants 48-hour Fluxrate/Syncrate bonuses that automatically expire • Non-Stackable Effects: New game bonuses replace existing ones, requiring strategic timing • Special Event Games with limited-time multipliers and cosmetic rewards

This mechanic ensures that active players can squeeze more out of their mining potential while adding an interactive layer beyond passive optimization.
